There is a lot of knowledge here. I personally have 3 D14s and absolutely love them. Unfortunately, AC was late joining the 3 point hitch game. The D15 (which succeeded the D14) had a 3 point as an option, but was pretty flimsy. For a good rugged 3 point hitch set up, you would want a Series 4 D17 - a considerably larger and more expensive tractor.

My HD-3 steering clutches have never been frozen, but there is a AC service Bulletin to replace the 5/16 bolts with 3/8 bolts which hold them together. You don't want to deal with broken bolts in that area of the tractor. The fix is outlined in the H/HD-3 service manual.
